Ralph W. Porter Jr., 57, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 3, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, son of the Rev. Ralph W. and Juanita Small Porter Sr. Porter had worked at Liley Monument Works in Marble Hill, the former Superior Electric and at Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau, retiring because of ill health...

Ralph W. Porter Jr., 57, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, June 24, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 3, 1939, in Cape Girardeau, son of the Rev. Ralph W. and Juanita Small Porter Sr.

Porter had worked at Liley Monument Works in Marble Hill, the former Superior Electric and at Wal-Mart in Cape Girardeau, retiring because of ill health.

Survivors include his mother; and a sister, Shirley Leimer, both of Jackson.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Donny Ford and Frank Bippus officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery near Marble Hill.
