BUNCOMBE, Ill. -- Ralph Lingle, 70, of Buncombe, died Sunday, March 22, 1992, at John Cochran Veterans Hospital in St. Louis, Mo.
He was born Feb. 19, 1922, near Tamms, son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Lee Lingle. He and Lorene Stout were married Oct. 12, 1943.
Lingle was a retired owner of a dozer and lime business, member and Sunday School superintendent of Lick Creek Pentecostal Church, and member of Carroll P. Foster VFW Post 3455. He was a veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Denny Lingle of Goreville, Mike Lingle of Cabot, Ark., Greg Lingle of Anna; four brothers, Cecil Lingle of Salem, Wilbur Lingle of South Elgin, the Rev. Clifton Lingle of Coulterville, Lester Lingle of Mokena; 10 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two step grandchildren, and two great-stepgrandchildren.
Funeral service will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at United Missionary Baptist Church in Lick Creek. The Revs. John Boyd and Farrell Dame will officiate, with burial in Ebenezer Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conducted by Carroll P. Foster VFW Post.
Friends may call at Crain Funeral Home in Anna after 5 p.m. today, and at the church prior to service.
