CHARLESTON -- Ralph G. Johnson, 89, of O'Fallon, died Tuesday, April 30, 1996, at Barnes Hospital. He was born June 2, 1906, in Trenton, Ill., son of Steve and Chattie Green Johnson. He married the former Lillian Funderburk. Formerly of Mississippi County and Bernie, Johnson had been a night watchman at Brown Shoe Co. in Bernie. CHARLESTON -- Ralph G. Johnson, 89, of O'Fallon, died Tuesday, April 30, 1996, at Barnes Hospital.

He was born June 2, 1906, in Trenton, Ill., son of Steve and Chattie Green Johnson. He married the former Lillian Funderburk.

Formerly of Mississippi County and Bernie, Johnson had been a night watchman at Brown Shoe Co. in Bernie. He was a member of Bernie United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Ruth Horschmann of Henderson, Nev.; two stepsons, James McCann of Maplewood, Charles McCann of Edwardsville, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Bernice Coffer of O'Fallon; 15 grandchildren, and 22 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call Friday at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston from noon to service time.

Funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in IOOF Cemetery.
