Ralph Leo Hendrickson, 65, of Cape Girardeau passed away Sunday, Nov. 8, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

He was born Sept. 29, 1955, in Egypt Mills to the late Benson and Rosemary Halter Hendrickson.

He excelled in his career as a commercial real estate agent.

He enjoyed volunteering at the food pantry and making donations and contributions to local organizations. Some knew him as "Grand Master Hendrickson." He instilled a foundation of respect, work ethic and responsibility to his Moo Sul Kwan family. He was a devoted member of St. Vincent de Paul Parish in Cape Girardeau and regularly attended the Cursillo men's group at the church.

He was on fire about his Catholic faith, and he was a light to everyone he met. If you knew him, you loved him. Most of all, he was a devoted father and grandfather. He was the absolute best.

Ralph is survived by his son, Alex (Renee) Hendrickson of Cape Girardeau; daughters, Rachel (Brad) Shuh of Cape Girardeau, Katie (Garrett) McVey of Jackson and Lauren (Nathan) Berry of Fruitland; brothers, Paul (Colette) Hendrickson of Cape Girardeau, Ray (Robin) Hendrickson of Jackson and Mark Hendrickson of Cape Girardeau; grandchildren, Bryson, Leo, Ben, Noah, Evelyn, Sophia, Parker, Madalynn, Alexandra, Lucas, Emma, Erin and Caroline; loving friend, Tammy (LeGrand) Jordan.

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents and grandchildren, Mabel and Elijah McVey.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Chapel, with parish prayers at 7 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, with the Rev. Rick Jones officiating. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Memorial donations may be given to the Catholic Social Ministries Food Pantry, c/o St. Mary's Cathedral; Teen Challenge or Safehouse for Women.
