Ralph Edward Drum Sr., 87, of Friedheim died Sunday, May 17, 2020, at his home.
He was born May 2, 1933, in Friedheim to Avery Lee and Alice Edna Hanners Drum. Ralph and Martha Rose Laxton were married Oct. 21, 1962, in Patton, Missouri.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in Korea.
He was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church in Daisy.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Drum of Friedheim; daughters, Rose Mary Kincy of Jackson and Karen Sue (Scott) Young of St. Peters, Missouri; son, Ralph (Holly) Drum Jr. of Jackson; sister, Artie Mae (Thomas S.) Brewer of Perryville, Missouri; grandchildren, Anastasia Kincy, Makayla Kincy, Lucas Kincy, Ashley (Paul) Ragsdale and Chelsea Drum; and great-granddaughter, Kiara Rose Kincy.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Elbert Drum; and son-in-law, Jim Kincy.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday at Ford and Sons Funeral Home in Jackson.
Funeral will follow at 1 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Sidney and Harry Laxton officiating.
Ford and Sons recommends that everyone attending the visitation and service wear a mask, practice social distancing and extend condolences through non-physical contact.
Burial with full military honors will be at New Salem Methodist Church Cemetery in Daisy.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family or New Salem Cemetery Fund.
