JACKSON, Mo. -- Ralph R. Clements, 67, of Jackson died Monday, March 19, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. He was born Sept. 2, 1933, at Hilderbrand, Mo., son of William and Lena Ruch Clements. He and Reta P. Rhyne were married June 4, 1988...

JACKSON, Mo. -- Ralph R. Clements, 67, of Jackson died Monday, March 19, 2001, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Sept. 2, 1933, at Hilderbrand, Mo., son of William and Lena Ruch Clements. He and Reta P. Rhyne were married June 4, 1988.

Clements was in the U.S. Army 20 years, serving in Germany, Panama, Vietnam. He was formerly of Perryville, Mo., and had worked for city of Perryville. He was a member of American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and was past commander of Perryville Disabled American Veterans.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Mary Clements of Cape Girardeau; a son, Ralph Clements of Perryville; two stepdaughters, Mary Spense of Milwaukee, Wis., Carla Helm of Perryville; two stepsons, Roger Fadler of Friedheim, Mo., and John Fadler of Cape Girardeau.

Also surviving are five brothers, Raymond, Elmer and Gilbert Clements of Jackson, Edward Clements of Malvern, Ark., Sylvester Clements of Lake Charles, La.; a sister, Hilda Zoellner of Longtown, Mo.; and 13 stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, and two sisters.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home in Perryville from 4-9 p.m. today, and Thursday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Thomas Bass officiating. Burial will be in Russell Heights Cemetery at Jackson, with graveside rites by the Cape Girardeau National Guard Military Honors Team.
