RALPH "CHUNKS" MANGRUM

ADVANCE -- Ralph "Chunks" Mangrum, 61, of Advance, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 1991, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Feb. 24, 1930 in Dudley, son of Jess and Ruth Frields Mangrum.

He married Mary Ervin on June 18, 1951 at Piggott, Ark. She survives.

Other survivors are four sons, Jesse Mangrum, Mishawaka, Ind., Randell Mangrum, Brownwood, Darrell Mangrum, Advance, Kevin Mangrum, Advance; six daughters, Sharon Williams, Swinton, Fran Wolfe, Allenville, Kathy Elliotte, Wright, Wy., Tena Lutes, Morehouse, Mildred Williams, Dexter and Cindy Mangrum, Dexter; two sisters, Juanita Wilson, Brownwood, and Geneva Hill, Puxico; 16 grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Two brothers and three sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call today after 5:30 p.m. at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Service will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at the funeral home with the Rev. Florence Long officiating. Burial will follow in the Hobbs Chapel Cemetery near Dudley.
