Raelynn Grace Jones, daughter of Cody Ray and Aleisha Kelley Jones of Jackson, was born June 24, 2019, in St. Louis and passed away Monday, July 8, 2024, at Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital in St. Louis at the young age of 5 years.

Raelynn started her journey fighting and made sure to do everything her way. With being one of only 38 other people born with her condition, she beat her odds and showed that she had her own story. Raelynn’s fight helped several other children in her area get the equipment they needed.

Raelynn enjoyed Disney movies and songs. She was the best hand holder, but holding her was reserved for only special people. Raelynn had the prettiest eyes and the best smile, but she made you earn those. She got to show the world what a true fighter she was, and hopefully her story can inspire and help others.

Besides her loving parents, survivors include one brother, Maverick Jones, and one sister, Mya Jones of Jackson; grandparents, Becky Kelley of Jackson and Don and Missy Jones of Scott City; great-grandparents, Joyce Hall of Essex, Paul Woodard of Dexter, Bill Upchurch of Cape Girardeau and Glenda Jones of Benton; several cousins, aunts, and uncles; and her special nurse, Susan Lowe.
