JACKSON -- R. Lloyd Henson, 75, of Jackson died Thursday, May 28, 1992 at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Nov. 21, 1916 at Buckhorn, Mo. in Madison County to Oscar and Hattie Hovis Henson.

He married Hazel Barks on Nov. 5, 1938. She survives.

Other survivors include: one son, Jerry Henson of Kansas City, Mo.; two daughters, Joyce Kinder of Burfordville and Nancy Henson of Jackson; one brother, Harley Henson of Advance; three sisters, Millie Walden of St. Louis, Opal Nance of Clarksville, Tenn. and Glenda Crane of Palmyra, Mo.; five grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

He lived in Jackson all his married life. He worked in timber and logging for many years. He also worked for the former Jackson Handle factory. For 21 years, he worked at the Kasten brick yard, where he retired in 1970.

He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Jackson for many years. He was church treasurer for 40 years, and worked in the Sunday School for 20 years.

He was a member of the Retiree Teamsters Jubilee, local 574.

Friends may call between 4 and 8 p.m. Saturday at the McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral service will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at McCombs with the Rev. Rodney Travis officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. Loy Barks. Burial will follow in Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
