Quinten Cavaness

COBDEN, Ill. -- Quinten J. Cavaness, 77, of rural Cobden died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at his home.

He was born June 24, 1924, in Cobden, son of Robert R. and Augusta Stegle Cavaness.

Cavaness had worked at the former Anna State Hospital and at Norge Appliance Plant in Herrin, Ill.

He served in the military.

Survivors include four nieces, Nancy Gearhart of Alto Pass, Ill., Charlotte Browder of Anna, Ill., Janet Braun of Evansville, Ill., Donna Rees of Sparta, Ill.; and two nephews, Robert Cavaness of Tahoe Vista, Calif., and Paul McCann of Murfreesboro, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, and a brother.

A graveside service will be held at a later date.

Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden is in charge of arrangements.
