Quinlon Rickie Evans, 66, of Scott City died Friday, April 28, 2023, at his home.

He was born Dec. 17, 1956, to Ellis Jr. and Nola Jean Cofield Evans.

He served in the U.S. Army.

During his lifetime, he worked as an industrial roofer and loved fishing, hunting, gardening and barbecuing. Quinlon was passionate about helping people.

Survivors include sisters, Lynn Ware of Cape Girardeau and Sonya Rouse of Carrier Mills, Illinois; brothers, Steven Evans of Marion, Illinois, and Dane (Monique) Evans of Cape Girardeau; stepson, Kenneth Lewis; son, Quinlon Rickie Evans; and daughter, Katherine Evans.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A celebration of Quinlon's life will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, May 20, at Community Center in Carrier Mills.

Entombment of ashes will be at a later date at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
