BELL CITY -- Quincy Gilliland, 77, Bell City Route 1, died Tuesday, Feb. 9, 1993, at Sikeston Health Care Center in Sikeston.

He was born Feb. 11, 1915, in Oneonta, Ala., son of James Wiley and Lucy Blaylock Gilliland. He and Grace A. Kincaid were married May 11, 1935.

Gilliland was a retired farmer, and member of Church of Christ at Morehouse.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Jim Gilliland of Athens, Ill., Doyle Gilliland of Holiday, Fla.; two daughters, Sharon Coon of Affton, Donna Garrett of St. Peters; a brother, Charlie Gilliland of Sikeston; nine grandchildren, and a great-grandson.

He was preceded in death by a son, daughter, eight brothers and two sisters.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Friday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston. Woodrow Phillips and Louis Gardner will officiate, with burial in New Morley Cemetery at Morley.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. Thursday.
