Preston McKinley

Preston Lee McKinley, 48, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis. He was born Dec. 13, 1955, in Sikeston, son of Horace Lee and Joyce Ezzell McKinley. Preston Lee McKinley, 48, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Oct. 4, 2004, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.

He was born Dec. 13, 1955, in Sikeston, son of Horace Lee and Joyce Ezzell McKinley. He and Becky Perry Way were married Feb. 13, 2001.

Formerly of Bertrand, Mo., he moved to Cape Girardeau in 2001. He was employed in construction.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Joshua McKinley of Benton, Mo.; a daughter, Christy McKinley of Blodgett, Mo.; his mother of Bertrand; three stepsons, Phillip, Bryan and Shawn Way of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Allen McKinley of East Prairie; a granddaughter; and two stepgranddaughters.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, Mo., from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday. Don Jolliff and Ron McKinley will officiate. Burial will be in Dogwood Cemetery near Charleston.
