PERRYVILLE -- Pia Clara Schnurbusch, 84, of Perryville died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. She was born Jan. 27, 1913, in Perry County, the daughter of Gottfried and Mary Buchheit Wibbenmeyer. She married Elmer Schnurbusch on Sept. 8, 1948, in Apple Creek. He survives...

PERRYVILLE -- Pia Clara Schnurbusch, 84, of Perryville died Saturday, Sept. 27, 1997, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Jan. 27, 1913, in Perry County, the daughter of Gottfried and Mary Buchheit Wibbenmeyer. She married Elmer Schnurbusch on Sept. 8, 1948, in Apple Creek. He survives.

She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, the Ladies Sodality and the Ladies Quilting Group. She had worked as a clerk at Wibbenmeyer Mercantile in Apple Creek.

She is survived by three daughters, Norma Unterreiner and Barb Schnurbusch, both of Perryville, and Arlene Schnurbusch of Jefferson City; three sisters, Lidie Dunker and Ludmilla Rellergert, both of St. Louis, and Regina Schnurbusch of Perryville; a brother, Edgar Wibbenmeyer of Grandbury, Texas; and two grandsons.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and from 6:30 to 9 a.m. Tuesday, at the Miller Family Funeral Home in Perryville. A parish wake will be at 7 tonight and a rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Perryville, with the Rev. Kevin P. Fausz officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Apple Creek.
