SIKESTON -- Phyllis Muriel Brewer, 75, of Sikeston, died Monday, June 17, 1991, at her home. She was born Nov. 23, 1915, at Gibson, daughter of James Edward and Ella May Boyd Brown. She married Thomas E. Brewer Dec. 1, 1945, in Piggott, Ark. He died May 16, 1991...

SIKESTON -- Phyllis Muriel Brewer, 75, of Sikeston, died Monday, June 17, 1991, at her home.

She was born Nov. 23, 1915, at Gibson, daughter of James Edward and Ella May Boyd Brown. She married Thomas E. Brewer Dec. 1, 1945, in Piggott, Ark. He died May 16, 1991.

Brewer was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church and American Legion Auxiliary in Sikeston.

Survivors include three sons, James Brewer of Sikeston, Dairl Sherman of Wichita Falls, Texas, Donald Sherman of Cleveland, Ga.; a daughter, Sue Stevens of Kennett; a nephew she raised, Gary Walker of Clarkton; 10 grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Raymond Pool will officiate, with burial in Oak Ridge Cemetery at Kennett.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.
