MATTHEWS -- Phillip Glenn Tidwell, 39, of Matthews died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at St. Louis University Hospital. He was born July 31, 1959, at Sikeston, son of Virgil Lee and Charlotte Ergle Tidwell. Tidwell was a farm laborer. Survivors include his mother of Matthews; five brothers, Robert Tidwell of Matthews, Harold Tidwell of Carbon Hill, Ala., Larry Tidwell of Wichita, Kan., Donald Tidwell of Sikeston, Christopher Tidwell of Jasper, Ala.; three sisters, Nida Brand of Nauvoo, Ala., Sandra Decker of New Madrid and Patricia Angel of Blodgett.. ...

MATTHEWS -- Phillip Glenn Tidwell, 39, of Matthews died Saturday, March 13, 1999, at St. Louis University Hospital.

He was born July 31, 1959, at Sikeston, son of Virgil Lee and Charlotte Ergle Tidwell.

Tidwell was a farm laborer.

Survivors include his mother of Matthews; five brothers, Robert Tidwell of Matthews, Harold Tidwell of Carbon Hill, Ala., Larry Tidwell of Wichita, Kan., Donald Tidwell of Sikeston, Christopher Tidwell of Jasper, Ala.; three sisters, Nida Brand of Nauvoo, Ala., Sandra Decker of New Madrid and Patricia Angel of Blodgett.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers.

Friends may call at Blanchard Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at Matthews City Cemetery.
