CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Phillip Ray Eastwood, 89, of Chaffee passed away Monday, May 6, 2019, at his family home.
He was born June 27, 1929, in Chaffee to the late William and Ora Grant Eastwood. He married Margie Fern Souders on May 19, 1949, and she survives of the home.
Phillip worked for more than 42 years with Frisco & Burlington Northern Railroad Co. before retiring in 1989. Phillip was a member of Sikeston Eagles Club, Chaffee American Legion Club and Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers. He served in U.S. Air Force.
Phillip was a man with many interests. During his very full life, he flew planes, crossed the country on his motorcycle, participated in ballroom dancing competitions, enjoyed water skiing and snow skiing and handcrafted furniture and toys for family and friends.
He is also survived by two daughters, Debra (Jim) Grebing of Kennett, Missouri, and Stephanie (William) Bennett Jr. of Chaffee; three grandchildren, Veronica Bennett of Cape Girardeau, Brittney (Shawn) Powderly of Chaffee and Jarrod (Melissa) Grebing of Takoma Park, Maryland; and two great-grandchildren, Bennett and Piper Powderly, with one great-grandchild on the way.
He was also preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
There will be no services.
