POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Phillip James Crites, 66, of Poplar Bluff passed away Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis.
Phillip, the son of Geraldine D. Loberg Crites and the late Ralph J. Crites, was born Sept. 13, 1951, in Cape Girardeau. Phillip was a member of First United Methodist Church in Poplar Bluff, where he never met a stranger.
He married Kim Bishop Crites on Oct. 7, 1989, in Alley Springs, Missouri, and they have been married for 28 years.
In addition to his wife, Phillip is survived by the loves of his life, daughters Hannah and Sarah; his mother, Geraldine; his two sisters, Cheryl Ross and Brenda Crites; his youngest brother, Christopher Crites; and his two cats, Madeline and Thor.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at First United Methodist Church of Poplar Bluff.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at First United Methodist Church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Children's Ministry of First United Methodist Church of Poplar Bluff, 500 N. Main St., Poplar Bluff, MO 63901.
