Funeral Mass for Philip Joseph Leible, 1752 Themis, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent's Catholic Church. The Rev. Milton Ryan will officiate, with burial in Memorial Park.
Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel from 4-8 p.m. today. Parish prayers will be at 7.
Leible, 82, died Monday, Aug. 25, 1997, at Southeast Missouri Hospital.
He was born Oct. 9, 1914, at Perryville, son of Benjamin and Francis Buchiet Leible. He and Esther McCauley were married May 14, 1938, in Perryville.
Leible owned and operated Pepsi Cola Bottling Co. in Perryville, and later moved the company to Cape Girardeau.
He moved to Cape Girardeau in 1958. He was a member of St. Vincent's Church in Cape Girardeau and Knights of Columbus in Perryville. He was active with the Civil Defense 30 years, and the SEMO Amateur Radio Club six years.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Richard Leible of Lansing, Mich.; two daughters, Rosemary Jones of Granite City, Ill., Wilma Phillips of Maryville, Ill.; a sister, Bernice Fricke of Albuquerque, N.M.; 13 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
