PHIL WILLIAM TATUM

ANNISTON -- Paul William Tatum, 95, of Anniston, died Saturday, Aug. 22, 1992 at the Charleston Manor.

He was born Jan. 19, 1897 in Anniston, the son of Nealey and Kate Thurman Tatum. He lived in Mississippi County all his life and was retired from the ASCS Office in Charleston.

In 1913, he married Ethel Krauss. She preceded him in death on June 7, 1975.

Survivors are one daughter, Mable Tatum of Anniston; two sons, John Tatum and Paul Tatum, both of Anniston; one brother, Finley Tatum of Anniston; one sister, Willie Bell Chenault of Little Rock, Ark.; six grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren.

Two sons, one brother and two sisters preceded him in death.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie. Funeral service will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in the Anniston Cemetery.
