CHARLESTON -- Phalor Palmer, 84, of Charleston, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston. She was born June 1, 1907, in Louisville, Miss., daughter of William Henry and Henrietta Tatum Jernigan. She and Clinton L. Palmer were married Aug. 8, 1926. He died Nov. 27, 1964...

CHARLESTON -- Phalor Palmer, 84, of Charleston, died Tuesday, Jan. 28, 1992, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

She was born June 1, 1907, in Louisville, Miss., daughter of William Henry and Henrietta Tatum Jernigan. She and Clinton L. Palmer were married Aug. 8, 1926. He died Nov. 27, 1964.

Palmer had been a private duty practical nurse, and member of the Assembly of God Church in Charleston.

Survivors include three sons, William and Warren Palmer of Charleston, Clyde Palmer of Louisville; three daughters, Anita Johnson and Ann Morton of Charleston, Helen Steinbeck of Barlow, Ky.; 26 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothes and four sisters.

Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at McMikle Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Gerald Penn will officiate, with burial in Oak Grove Cemetery near here.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 4:30 p.m. today.
