CHAFFEE, Mo. -- Paul "Pete" Elledge, 81, of Chaffee passed away Sunday, Feb. 19, 2017, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Nov. 19, 1935, in Lutesville, Missouri, to the late Sherman and Alma Baker Elledge. He married Marcella Wicker on April 13, 1969, and she preceded him in death Dec. 1, 2002.

Pete was a retired cabinet maker/finisher with S&W Cabinet in Chaffee for 32 years.

Besides his parents and wife, Pete also was preceded in death by a son, a daughter, three brothers, two sisters and four grandsons.

Survivors include two sons, Mike and Doyle Elledge, both of Florida; four daughters, Naomi Whitlock of Chaffee, Kay Wicker of Jackson, Judy DeMoro of Nixa, Missouri, and Debbie Mowery of Jackson; a daughter-in-law, Anna Wicker Kinder of Delta; two brothers, Robert Elledge of Galesburg, Illinois, and Carbin Elledge of Marble Hill, Missouri; and three sisters, Hazel James of Marble Hill, Elinor Knapp of Watseka, Illinois, and Nola Braddy of Bothell, Washington. Pete has a heck of a lot of grandkids: 28 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren. Pete is also survived by friend and caregiver Kathie Graviett-Snider of Chaffee.

Friends may call after 10 a.m. Thursday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with Joe Kinder officiating. Burial will be at Forest Hills Memorial Gardens near Morley, Missouri.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chaffee Senior Citizens Meals on Wheels.
