PERRY G. THIESSEN

SIKESTON -- Funeral service for Perry G. Thiessen of Sikeston will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel. Pat Hogan will officiate, with burial in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 5 p.m. today.

Thiessen, 84 years old, died Monday, March 18, 1991, at Miner Nursing Center.

He was born Aug. 24, 1906, in Jansen, Neb., son of George B. and Kathryn Friesen Thiessen. He married Edith Parks June 7, 1960. She died Nov. 11, 1977. He later married Ethel Bridger Jones June 6, 1981.

Thiessen was a retired farmer, and formerly owned and operated a restaurant. He was a member of Shady Acres Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife; four stepsons, Fred and Harlen Jones of Dyersburg, Tenn., Paul Jones of Riverside, Calif., Frank Parks of Clearwater, Fla.; four stepdaughters, Johnette Campbell of Parma, Yvonne Denton of Palos Park, Ill., Yvette Terrell of Sikeston, Sheila Grojean of New Hamburg; 35 stepgrandchildren, and 30 great-stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, stepson and two stepdaughters.
