MARBLE HILL -- Perl Cook, 88, of Marble Hill, died Wednesday, Feb. 24, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 28, 1910, at Lutesville, son of Adam Lee and Kizzie C. Langston Cook. He and Stella Long were married June 23, 1929. She died Jan. 20, 1997.

Cook was a timber worker and farmer. He had worked for Mitchell Pallet Co. for many years before retiring.

Survivors include a son, Don Cook of Marble Hill; three daughters, Helen Welker of Fenton, Shirley Fulbright of Marble Hill and Dean Roark of St. Charles; two brothers, the Rev. Grover Cook and John D. Cook, both of Marble Hill; three sisters, Annie Long, Ruby Hanners and Iva Nelson, all of Marble Hill; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, three brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Saturday in the funeral chapel, with the Rev. Steven Sander officiating. Burial will be in the Hurricane Fork Cemetery near Marble Hill.
