SCOTT CITY -- Funeral service for Percy C. McCormick of Scott City will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate, with burial in Zion United Methodist Cemetery at Gordonville.

Friends may call at the funeral home from 4-8 p.m. today.

McCormick, 79, died Wednesday, Jan. 31, 1996, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 14, 1916, at Commerce, son of Forrest Columbus and Alma Idell O'Guin McCormick. He and Amanda Minnie Overbeck were married Sept. 30, 1939, in Scott City. She died March 13, 1985.

McCormick had been a salesman at Southeast Lumber Co., worked at Ely Walker, and had been a night watchman at Havco Wood Products. He was a member of IOOF Lodge 675 in Cape Girardeau.

Survivors include a son, Larry McCormick of Jackson; two daughters, Sharon Keesee of Cape Girardeau, Donna Elfrink of Leopold; a brother, Dean McCormick of Gordonville; two sisters, Janice Williams of Scott City, Geraldine Jenkins of Fairview Heights, Ill.; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.
