Penny Lou Klingel, 49, of Jackson, beloved mother, sister, daughter and friend, left this earth Friday morning Jan. 1, 2010, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
She was always kind to anyone she met and affected many lives, and if you had met her she probably made an impact on your life also. She has left this world but has left an imprint on the hearts of her friends and family. She has probably already stepped through heaven's gates into Jesus' arms, where he said to her, "you are mine."
Penny was born Oct. 8, 1960, in Kankakee, Ill., the daughter of Rufus Roy and Shirley Elaine Fry Sanford.
Survivors include her parents of Benton, Mo.; a daughter, Shawna Klingel of Jackson; six brothers, Roger (Mona) Sanford and David (Crystal) Sanford of Jackson, Adam (Debbie) Sanford and Jerry Sanford of Cape Girardeau, Ronald (Krista) Sanford of St. Louis and Danny (Melissa) Sanford of Benton; six sisters, Anita (Lynn) Sides of Jackson, Carol (Richard) Coomer of Shawneetown, Mary (Ronnie) Mansker and Lisa Cox of Cape Girardeau, Margaret (Rodney) Seabaugh of Fruitland and Theresa Sanford of Benton.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Rufus "Bub" and Jimmy Sanford.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. until the memorial service at 6 p.m. Tuesday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. Robert Smithey will officiate.
Please pray for the family and friends who have suffered a great loss.
