Penny King

Penny Gail King, 60, of Jackson passed away Tuesday, March 19, 2024, in the Intensive Care Unit of S.S.M. St. Clare in Fenton. She had been transferred from Cape Girardeau to Fenton after suffering a stroke at home Monday evening.

A memorial visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to noon Thursday, March 28, at Lighthouse United Church at 710 Southern Expressway in Cape Girardeau.

Pastor Adrian Taylor and the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer will conduct a life celebration ceremony at noon Thursday, March 28, at the church. The family will honor Penny with a brief graveside committal at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.

If considering a memorial, the family suggests contributions to Lighthouse United Church. The church has adopted an orphanage and school in Kenya, and this cause was close to Penny’s heart. Please memo checks “For Kenya Mission”.

Penny’s cremation arrangements were entrusted to McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.
