Peggy Reed

Peggy Jo Reed, 64, of Scott City died Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at her home.

She was born Nov. 3, 1954, in Cape Girardeau to Gene and Maxine Hinton Reed.

She was a member of Illmo United Methodist Church in Scott City. Peggy loved to travel and had visited almost all 50 states.

She is survived by her mother, Maxine Reed of Scott City; three sisters, Dorothy Taylor of Fenton, Missouri, Kay (Gary) Young of St. Charles, Missouri, and Sally (Tim) Porch of Scott City; six nieces and nephews; 14 great- nieces and -nephews; and a great-great nephew.

She was preceded in death by her father and a nephew.

Visitation will be from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

Funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Jim Woeltje officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to Illmo United Methodist Church.
