Peggy Lynn Moore, 72, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau. Peggy was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Chaffee, Missouri, to Raymond Harold and Zella Mae Foster Moore. Peggy Lynn Moore, 72, of Jackson passed away Sunday, Dec. 5, 2021, at Southeast Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

Peggy was born Nov. 9, 1949, in Chaffee, Missouri, to Raymond Harold and Zella Mae Foster Moore.

Peggy worked several years at Thorngate, operated an in-home daycare, worked at Heartland Care and Rehab, and worked many years in housekeeping for Drury Hotels.

Loving survivors include a daughter, Jennifer (Matthew) Monroe, and two grandchildren, Jordan Matthew Monroe and Seth Matthew Monroe, all of Jackson; three siblings, Robert (Dolores) Moore of Belvidere, Illinois; Kathleen Lee of Perryville, Missouri; and Marcella (the late Charlie) Westrich of Chaffee; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Peggy was preceded in death by a grandson, Matthew Todd Monroe Jr.; her parents and siblings, Maude (G. C.) Hilyard, Addie Mae "Betty" (Jess) Statler, Brenda Kay (Doyle) Strop, Raymond Harold (Helen) Moore, John Bert Moore, Ima June Moore, Corneila "Connie" (Gary) Warren and Shelba JoAnn (Jack) Kean.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday at McCombs Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Don Estes officiating. Burial will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes, Illinois.

Memorials may take the form of contributions to Jackson Manor Nursing Home.
