PEGGY MEHNER

JACKSON -- Peggy J. Mehner, 53, of Marshall, formerly of Jackson, died Saturday, March 7, 1998, at Golden Oaks Residential Care in Marshall.

She was born Feb. 18, 1945, at Jackson, daughter of Edwin and Esther Sievers Amelunke.

Mehner was employed as a secretary with Southeast Missouri State University before moving to Marshall in 1997. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Jackson.

Survivors include a son, Matthew Mehner of Perryville; two daughters, Rachelle Borgman of Marshall and Kristina Mehner of St. Louis; two brothers, Lester and Reuben Amelunke, both of Jackson; two sisters, Rachel Kostedt of St. Louis and Debra McDonald of Jackson; and a grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at Weiker Funeral Home in Slater.

Funeral will be at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church near Saline City. The Rev. Mickey Wilkey will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.
