ADVANCE, Mo. -- Peggy Mae Lawson, 90, of Advance died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo.
She was born Feb. 5, 1916, in England, Ark., daughter of James Arthur and Maude Alice Appleton Vent. She and Roy Jefferson Lawson were married July 21, 1935, in Canalou, Mo. He died July 8, 1974.
Lawson was formerly of Canalou, and had worked at Todd Laundry in Sikeston.
Survivors include a son, Lonnie Lawson of Matthews, Mo.; two daughters, Linda Bailey of Sikeston and Jerrilyn Adkisson of Advance; a brother, Darrell Vent of Bryan, Ohio; a sister, Joyce Nelson of Benton, Mo.; 13 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters.
Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel in Sikeston from 5 to 8 p.m. today.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery.
