Peggy Copeland

Peggy Louise Copeland, 61, of Cape Girardeau died Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at her home.

She was born May 12, 1962, in Cape Girardeau to Kenneth and Eva Dewrock Spradling.

She and Dale Henry Copeland were married Dec. 28, 1980 at Cape Girardeau. He preceded her in death in 2003.

Peggy worked at Walmart for 15 years.

She loved music and dancing.

Survivors include two daughters, Amanda Copeland of Centralia, Illinois, and Kristina Copeland of Red Bud, Illinois; three sisters, Jeannie Davie of Jackson, Barbara (Gary) Robertson of McClure, Illinois, and Sheila Gettings of Belfry, Kentucky; a brother, Kenny Spradling of Jackson; and three grandchildren, John Nation, Patrick Owens and Hayden Cheek.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, husband and a brother, Rocky Dewrock.

Graveside service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, June 8, at Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau, with the Rev. Donny Ford officiating.

Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
