Peggy Sue Coomer, age 70, of Delta passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21, 2018, at Southeast Hospital, surrounded by family.

She was born July 30, 1947, in Jackson to Tony and Ella Mae Beklund Menz. She and Bill Coomer married March 11, 1988 in Advance, Missouri, and he survives of the home.

Peggy attended Delta High School. She worked at Bunny Bread, Tri-Con and retired from Horizon. After retirement, she loved spending time with family, quilting and taking care of her roses. She was a charter member of the Advance Eagles.

Loving survivors are her husband of 29 years, Bill Coomer; a son, Michael (Chasity Mohler) England of Benton, Kentucky; five stepsons, William Coomer of Pegs, Oklahoma, Billy (Jennifer) Coomer of Brownwood, Missouri, James (Anna) Coomer of Zalma, Missouri, and Dennis and Travis Coomer of Mount Vernon, Illinois; her mother, Ella Mae Menz; five sisters, Carol Collins, Donna (Dale) Hobeck and Penny (Jack) Coomer, all of Delta, Brenda (Ernest) Brown of Jackson and Mary Jo (Clifford) Barlow of Scappoose, Oregon; a brother, Ronnie Menz of Delta; a brother-in-law, Mike Waddle of Whitewater; six grandchildren, Ethan, Reanna, Kelsi, Traeh, William and Lily Coomer; three great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was also preceded in death by her father, Tony Menz, and a sister, Evelyn Waddle.

Friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee, Missouri.

Funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Conn officiating. Burial will be at noon at Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.
