SIKESTON -- Pearl H. Willhite, 91, of Sikeston died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1997, at her home. She was born Aug. 2, 1905, in Scott County, daughter of Will and Susie A. Knight Heath. She first married Stacker J. Wood in 1921, who died June 14, 1929. She later married Lotis Willhite in 1949. He died in January 1987...

SIKESTON -- Pearl H. Willhite, 91, of Sikeston died Thursday, Jan. 30, 1997, at her home.

She was born Aug. 2, 1905, in Scott County, daughter of Will and Susie A. Knight Heath. She first married Stacker J. Wood in 1921, who died June 14, 1929. She later married Lotis Willhite in 1949. He died in January 1987.

Willhite was a sewing machine operator at International Shoe Co. in Sikeston, and later retired from St. Louis Dairy. She resided in Viburnum 25 years, returning to Sikeston in 1987. She was a member of Eastside Church of the Nazarene.

Survivors include a son, C.D. Wood of Sikeston; a stepson, Wallace Willhite of Eureka; a stepdaughter, Patricia Raymond of Kansas City; a sister, LaRue Monan of Sikeston; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, daughter, two grandchildren, four brothers, and a sister.

Friends may call at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel from 5-8 p.m. today.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Preston Palmer officiating.

Another funeral service and burial will be held later, with Spencer Funeral Home at Viburnum in charge of arrangements.
