COBDEN, Ill. -- Pearl Jean Morrison Rigby, 73, of Cobden died Thursday, June 28, 2007, at her home.
She was born Nov. 8, 1933, in Makanda, Ill., daughter of Rolla Daniel and Bessie Pluma Bush Reed. She and Elton Ray Morrison were married Sept. 29, 1951, in Piggott, Ark. He died April 3, 1997. She and Brian G. Rigby were married July 16, 2005, in Cobden.
Rigby was a Republican precinct committeewoman and election judge from 1990 to 2000. She was a support service worker at Choate Mental Health and Developmental Center in Anna, Ill., from 1983 to 1997. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Cobden.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Dianna Morrison and Debbie Crowell of Anna; a son, Tim Morrison of Cobden; two sisters, Ruth Morgan of Elkville, Ill., Laura Weller of Carterville, Ill.; five grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Lutz and Rendleman Funeral Home in Cobden, and Sunday after noon at First Baptist Church.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at the church, with the Rev. Allen Speer officiating. Burial will be in Oakland Cemetery north of Carbondale, Ill.
