BERNIE -- Pearl Palmer, 78, of Bernie died Friday, May 21, 1999, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
She was born May 16, 1921, at Bernie, daughter of Aud and Millie Summers Swan.
She married Edgar Gerald Palmer at Bloomfield Jan. 24, 1942.
She is survived by her husband of Bernie; four sons, Michael Gerald Palmer of Crestwood, Theron Ray Palmer of Dexter, Roger Dean Palmer of High Ridge and Douglas Arnold Palmer of Brownsburg, Ind; four daughters, Sheryl Arleen Dinkins of Annapolis, Ann Audette Bratberg of Farmington, Patricia Sue Adkins of Dexter and May Kay McGhee of Bloomfield; two brothers, John Phillip Swan of Prescott, Mich., and David Swan of Gainsville, Fla; a sister, Lela L. Jordan of Columbiaville, Mich.; 28 grandchildren; eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a son, a daughter, two sisters and a grandson.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie.
Funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the Rainey Chapel, with the Revs. Lester Dale and Joe Masters officiating.
Burial will be at the Bernie Cemetery.
