EAST PRAIRIE -- Pearl Lemons, 74, of East Prairie died Saturday, Feb. 11, 1995, at East Prairie Nursing Center.
She was born July 11, 1906, at East Prairie, daughter of Jess and Fannie Largent Davis. She and Robert Lee Lemons were married in 1924. He preceded her in death Jan. 20, 1973.
She lived in Mississippi County all her life and was a member of the Pultight Church of God.
Survivors include a son, Harold Lemons of East Prairie; four daughters, Maxine Haney and Joann Simpkins, both of East Prairie, Mavis Lawrence of Cahokia, Ill., and Barbara Green of Fenton; a sister, Edna Prentice of St. Louis; nine grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, a granddaughter, two sisters and five brothers.
Funeral service will be held today at 2 p.m. at the Shelby Funeral Home in East Prairie, with the Rev. Ted Wimberley officiating. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
