PEARL DREWS

BERNIE -- Pearl Lee Drews, 69, of Bernie, died Thursday, Sept. 18, 1997, in Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.

She was born Dec. 21, 1927, the daughter of Joseph Oiler and Dell Sweet Ogelvie in Bernie. On Dec. 8, 1948, she married Robert E. Drews in Pigott, Ark., and he died Jan. 9, 1989.

She was a homemaker.

She belonged to the Sugar Tree General Baptist Church in rural Bernie.

Survivors include: five sons, Robert Lee Drews of Hogansville, Ga., Johnnie Carrol Drews of Lawrenceburg, Tenn., David Eugene Drews of Palmer, Alaska, Earnest Michael of Dexter and James Lee Drews of Sikeston; a daughter, Nancy Jane Drews of St. Louis; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, three sisters and four brothers preceded her in death.

Friends may call from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Rainey Funeral Home in Bernie.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Connie Bennett officiating. Burial will be in the Smith-Stevenson Cemetery in rural Dexter.
