Pearl Cavaness

ANNA, Ill. -- Pearl O. Cavaness, 95, of Anna died Sunday, Dec. 14, 2008, at Union County Nursing Home.

She was born March 2, 1913, in Union County, Ill., daughter of Oliver and Dovie Miller Cruse. She and Frank Cavaness were married March 21, 1936. He died March 31, 2004.

Cavaness was a member of First Baptist Church in Anna. She retired as owner and operator, along with her husband, of Cavaness Tin Shop.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters, Clara Dillow, Grace Miller and Ina Mangold.

Friends may call from noon to 2 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home Anna-Jonesboro.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Tony Foeller officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
