SCOTT CITY -- Funeral for Pearl Rhodes Barber of Harrisburg, Ill., will be held at 1 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City. The Rev. William Dickey will officiate. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Friends may call at the chapel after 11:30 a.m.

Barber, 97, died Friday, Oct. 15, 1999, at Harrisburg Medical Center.

She was born May 23, 1902, at Glen Allen. She and Edgar John Barber were married Oct. 7, 1933. He died Feb. 20, 1994.

Barber was formerly of Scott City.

Survivors include a son, Eddie Barber of Harrisburg; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.
