Pauline Davine Pursifull, 80, of Jackson died Sunday, Nov. 30, 2008, at Fountainbleau Lodge in Cape Girardeau.

She was born May 5, 1928, one of eight children, to Norflake and Lillian Williams Fipps. She had seven siblings: Maxine, Opal, Geraldine, Elba, Mavis, Geneva and Glenn.

Pauline married Joseph Pursifull of Licking, Mo., in 1946. He passed away in the summer of 1977 from MS. They had four children, Billy Joe, James Edwin, Joyce Marie and Gary Wayne. The boys had all passed away by 1974. Joyce is their only surviving child.

Pauline later had a friend and companion, Bob Cooper. He was like a guardian angel for Pauline. He could understand and be that special person no other person could fill. They were friends until his death. He died in his sleep in September 1992 at the age of 74. He was buried in Russell Heights Cemetery.

Joyce married Paul Richard Burley in 1970. They live in Fruitland. Paul and Joyce have two adult children, Dominick Richard and Michelle Dawn. They have several grandchildren. A grandson, Hayden Burley, passed away in the fall of 2004.

Pauline was a woman of great faith. She went through a lot of trials and tribulations yet kept up the fight for life.

Pauline's wishes were to be buried by her sons in Round Pond Cemetery near Salem, Mo. Burial will be there at a later date.

There is no local visitation or service.

Cracraft-Miller Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to Birthright in Cape Girardeau.
