Pauline Melinda Filla, 70, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center. Pauline was born April 28, 1950, in Washington, Missouri, to the late Maurice and Leona Frederick Filla. Pauline graduated from the University of Colorado with two degrees. She moved from Colorado with her family, first to Jackson, then to Cape Girardeau in 2002...

Pauline Melinda Filla, 70, of Cape Girardeau passed away Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2020, at Saint Francis Medical Center.

Pauline was born April 28, 1950, in Washington, Missouri, to the late Maurice and Leona Frederick Filla.

Pauline graduated from the University of Colorado with two degrees. She moved from Colorado with her family, first to Jackson, then to Cape Girardeau in 2002.

Pauline was a member of Abby Road Christian Church, where she loved to sing in the choir.

Loving survivors include cousins, Charles (JoAnn) Filla of Kaiser, Missouri, Christine Dothage of LaBargue Creek, Missouri, Tim Filla, Bethene Spawnhurst and Ben Filla, all of Washington, Jennifer Hilgard of Godfrey, Illinois, and Jim Filla of Nederland, Colorado; an aunt, Charla Mae Filla of Akron, Colorado; and her best friend, Sheila Winberg of Fort Collins, Colorado. Also surviving are three Colorado cousins, Roscoe, Natalie and Barney Filla.

Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Monday at McCombs Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau.

Funeral will be at 4 p.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Elaine Schoepf officiating. Burial will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Owensville City Cemetery in Owensville, Missouri.

Masks will be required at all times while in the funeral home and any time social distancing is not observed.

The family requests memorial contributions be made to Abby Road Christian Church, 2411 Abby Road, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701.
