PUXICO, Mo. -- Pauline Crites, 82, of Puxico died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at her home. She was born Nov. 7, 1926, at Greenbrier, Mo., daughter of Charles Dewey and Icy Kirkpatrick Woodfin. Pauline and Woody Crites were united in marriage June 9, 1942, at Bloomfield, Mo. He preceded her in death April 1, 2003...

PUXICO, Mo. -- Pauline Crites, 82, of Puxico died Thursday, April 30, 2009, at her home.

She was born Nov. 7, 1926, at Greenbrier, Mo., daughter of Charles Dewey and Icy Kirkpatrick Woodfin. Pauline and Woody Crites were united in marriage June 9, 1942, at Bloomfield, Mo. He preceded her in death April 1, 2003.

Pauline retired from Inland Shoe Co. in Advance, where she worked 20 1/2 years. She was a member of Sturdivant General Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Bob (Carolyn) Crites of Advance; a daughter, Debbie (David) Richards of Advance; two sisters, Dorothy Cato of Caseyville, Ill., Helen Crites of Edwardsville, Ill.; three grandchildren, Crystal Richards and Robin Minton of Advance, Rodney Crites of Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Missy Hake of Dexter, Amber Crites and Chelsea Crites of Jackson.

She was preceded in death by two brothers.

Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Revs. Ray Placher and Junior Wade officiating. Burial will be in Morgan Memorial Park in Advance.
