Pauline Braun

Pauline "Tudy" Braun, 87, of Cape Girardeau died Thursday, Jan. 3, 2013, at Chaffee Nursing Center.

She was born March 15, 1925, in Washington, Mo., to Henry and Irene Teichmann Layton. She married Glennon Braun on Jan. 31, 1950. He preceded her in death Jan. 21, 2007.

Pauline was a member of St. Mary's Cathedral.

She is survived by two sons, Mike Braun of Maryville, Tenn., and Larry (Darcy) Braun of Benton, Mo.; a daughter, Susan Sellers of Owensville, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Layton of Illinois; a special niece, Mary Lou Sandvos; other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers and a sister.

Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. today at Crain Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Parish rosary will be at 7 p.m.

The funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Mary's Cathedral, with the Rev. Tom Kiefer as celebrant. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary's Cathedral and will be accepted at the funeral home.
