Pauline H. Bick, 97, of Cape Girardeau passed away Saturday, June 3, 2017, at Ratliff Care Center.
She was born Jan. 2, 1920, in Ralls County, Missouri, the daughter of George and Katherine (Blohm) Dryden.
Pauline attended Hannibal-LaGrange College and worked in the statistics department of Stix, Bauer and Fuller before marrying Paul K. Bick on Oct. 18, 1947. Paul preceded her in death in 2013.
A Cape Girardeau resident for more than 50 years, she was active initially in raising her family and was a dedicated member of Centenary United Methodist Church, serving in a variety of functions: preparing church meals, teaching Sunday school, organizing church bazaars and many more activities. She participated in the Missouri Home Extension, was a Girl Scout leader and worked regularly at the election polls.
Survivors include two daughters, Phyllis Bick and Peggi (Barry) Zerbe of Cape Girardeau. Also surviving is a brother, Walter Dryden of Vonore, Tennessee, and numerous nieces and nephews; a grandson, Derek Zerbe of Cape Girardeau; and three great-grandchildren, Simon Zerbe and Aiden Birk of Jackson and Jayma Zerbe of Cape Girardeau.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Margaret Hopkins; and a brother, A.W. Dryden.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Friday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.
The funeral service will be at noon Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in honor of Pauline Bick to Centenary United Methodist Church of Cape Girardeau.
