ALTENBURG, Mo. -- Paula M. Holt, 94, of Altenburg died Saturday, April 16, 2016, at Independence Care Center in Perryville, Missouri.
She was born Feb. 12, 1922, in Seelitz, Missouri, the daughter of August and Mathilde (Poppitz) Degenhardt.
She and Otto Herman Holt were married Oct. 28, 1945. He preceded her in death Dec. 29, 1973.
Paula was a homemaker and a lifelong member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Altenburg.
Survivors include a son and a daughter, Leon L. Holt of Grand Rapids, Michigan, and Ruby (H. Burt) Lehman of Cape Girardeau; a brother, Wilmar Degenhardt of St. Louis; five grandchildren, Thomas Holt, Valerie Holt, Karyn May, Corrie Poling and Brent Griffith; and six great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and two brothers, Edgar and Reinhold Degenhardt.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today and from 6:30 to 10 a.m. Wednesday at Young and Sons East Perry Chapel in Altenburg.
The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Steven Dressler officiating. Burial will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Altenburg.
Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church or memorial of your choice.
