Paula Hoffman

O'FALLON, Mo. — Paula Cyrus Hoffman, 89, of O'Fallon died Friday, June 25, 2021, at Progress West Hospital.

She was born Jan. 18, 1932, in Catlettsburg, Kentucky, to Downing R. Cyrus and Ethel Miracle Cyrus.

Paula graduated from Crump Commerce College in Lexington, Kentucky.

She was a longtime resident of Cape Girardeau and worked at Community Counseling Center for more than 25 years.

Paula was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 63 years, Carl Compton Hoffman.

She is survived by her three daughters, Karen (Mike) Kirby and Cheryl (Mark) Howard of St. Louis and Patricia Montgomery of Columbus, Georgia; and four grandchildren, Kathryn Dethrow of St. Louis, Maura Howard of San Francisco, Gabrielle Montgomery of Memphis, Tennessee, and Matthew Howard of St. Louis; and great-grandson, Connor Michael Dethrow.

Visitation will be at 11 a.m., followed by the funeral at 1 p.m., on Tuesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home in Cape Girardeau. Pastor Neal Kinsey will be officiating.
