OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Paul V. Wilson, 67, of Olive Branch died Friday, July 21, 2000, on arrival at Southeast Missouri Hospital. OLIVE BRANCH, Ill. -- Paul V. Wilson, 67, of Olive Branch died Friday, July 21, 2000, on arrival at Southeast Missouri Hospital.

He was born Feb. 10, 1933, in Thebes, Ill., son of Willis "Chick" and Leona Bedwell Wilson. He married Florene Stevenson, who died in 1970. He later married Georgia McClellan.

Wilson worked as foreman of the Coca-Cola Bottling Plant in Cairo, Ill., for 20 years, and then as a custodian at Egyptian School. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War. He was affiliated with the Alexander Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Norma Spurlock of Dongola, Ill.; a stepdaughter, Brenda Martin of Tamms, Ill.; a stepson, Steve Miller of Jonesboro, Ill.; a brother, Charles Wilson of of Olive Branch; a sister, Anna Faye Bigham of Olive Branch; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a son.

Friends may call at the Crain Funeral Home in Tamms from 5-8 p.m. today or after 10 a.m. Monday at Alexander Free Will Baptist Church.

Funeral will be 11 a.m. Monday at the church, with the Revs. Ernest Brown and Carl Hester officiating. Burial wil be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Thebes.
