Paul William Hinchey, 80, of Cape Girardeau, died Friday, May 6, 1994, at the Lutheran Home.
He was born March 9, 1914, in St. Louis, son of Stephen and Eugenia Allard Hinchey.
Hinchey attended kindergarten in the building where the first kindergarten was started by Susan Blow in St. Louis.
He was a 1938 graduate of Westminster College at Fulton, and did graduate work at Southeast Missouri State University.
Hinchey moved to Cape Girardeau in 1964 from Johnson City, Tenn. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church here, St. Louis Railroad Enthusiasts, St. Louis Historial Railroad Association, and the Association of General Council of Civic Needs of St. Louis.
Survivors include a sister, Katherine Hinchey Cochran of Cape Girardeau.
Friends may call from 3-4 p.m. Sunday at Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Chapel.
Funeral service will be at 4 p.m. in the chapel, with the Rev. Charles B. Dreyer officiating. Graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Masonic Cemetery in Arcadia, with the Rev. Lori Donaldson officiating.
