PAUL THOMAS GIBBONS

CHAFFEE -- Paul Thomas Gibbons, 85, of Chaffee died Saturday, Sept. 30, 1995, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.

He was born July 20, 1910, near Harrisburg, Ill., the son of Thomas Martin and Maude Raum Simpson Gibbons.

He was a salesman for the St. Louis Paint Co. before retirement. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chaffee.

He and Mary Hawkins were married on Feb. 27, 1937. She died Aug. 29, 1989.

Survivors include two sons, Thomas Gibbons of Ballwin and Carroll Gibbons of Mattoon, Ill.; a daughter, Mary Ann Tierney of Chaffee; eight grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death a brother and sister.

Friends may call after 5 p.m. Monday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel at Chaffee.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church. The Rev. Kenneth Roberts will officiate, with burial in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
